On the afternoon of November 7, 2024, Ha Long University had a working session with the TOA Institution within the framework of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) SDGs Business Needs Confirmation Survey for the Japanese Human Resources Development in Northern Vietnam to develop the Japanese Language and Culture Center.
Attending the meeting were Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep – Rector of Ha Long University, representatives from Office of International Cooperation and Science Management, Department of Japanese Language – Faculty of Foreign Languages, with the presence of representatives of Quang Ninh University of Industry, Quang Ninh Medical College, and North East College of Agriculture and Forestry.

At the meeting, leaders of Ha Long University and TOA Soken (Japan) discussed and made plans to develop the Japanese Language and Culture Center at Ha Long University in the near future.

Within the framework of the working session, the TOA Institution announced current results of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) SDGs Business Needs Confirmation Survey for the Japanese Human Resources Development in Northern Vietnam, and consulted 03 higher education institutions in Quang Ninh province at the working session on the above report, thereby grasping the actual needs of students in Quang Ninh province for Japanese language and culture education, which must be attached to improving the required knowledge and skills for job hunting and career development.

The meeting provided useful insights for the development strategy of the Japanese Language and Culture Center at Ha Long University, which should aim at meeting the practical needs of the learners, opening up career opportunities after completing the courses provided at the Center.
